helldivers 2 new exosuit

Helldivers 2 is getting new dual-autocannon Exosuit, but you gotta earn it

It's just one planet. How hard can it be?

The Helldivers community has had a rough time lately, and the community just failed a third Major Order. But things may be turning around. A new Major Order has arrived, and victory means a new dual-autocannon Exosuit for Helldivers 2 players. And they only have to liberate a single Automaton planet.

What could go wrong?

The news was announced by the development team following the end of the recent Major Order. Players weren’t able to rack up the 3 billion enemy kills needed, so one could say that the MO to follow feels like a reprieve: Liberate the planet Varylia 5 to halt the Automaton “Petafactory,” and you will earn the EXO-49 Emancipator Exosuit. Mechs should be better now, so don’t worry.

New Helldivers 2 mech to bust out the big guns — two of them

Two autocannons are always better than one, and that’s precisely what the new mech can bring the Helldivers 2 community — so long as they can complete the latest task. Compared to dusting more than 3.14 billion foes, however, liberating one Automaton planet should be easier than pi. The planet itself, Varylia 5 (located in the Trigon sector), is already available for dives. You won’t need to liberate other planets to free up the supply line; the fight begins today.

Successfully completing the Major Order awards the EXO-49 Emancipator Exosuit, the first new mech since March. Equipped with two autocannons, the mech is ideal for taking out heavies such as the Bile Titan, but it can also deal plenty of damage to enemy spawners, dropships, and other destructible targets.

As a fan of the autocannon, this pleases me (and so does that Personal Order). The MO will also award you with 50 Warbond Medals, which should come in handy if you haven’t gotten everything out of the latest Warbond.

The Major Order ends in five days, which should be more than enough time to clear a planet of bots. Fans on Reddit seem excited. Following the CEO’s move to the development side of things, with luck, this could be the start of a much-needed rebound.
