How to complete It’s In The Water in Gray Zone Warfare

After completing The Shadow Over Ban Pa task for Handshake, you’ll unlock a new task titled It’s In The Water from Lab Rat. The Lab Rat has fears about contaminated drinking water in the village of Ban Pa, so sends you there to collect three samples to run some tests. Here is how to complete the It’s In The Water task for Lab Rat in Gray Zone Warfare and where to collect all three samples.

Where to collect all samples

In order to complete the It’s In The Water task in Gray Zone Warfare, you need to visit three different locations in Ban Pa and collect samples with your Sample Collection Kits. Lab Rat will provide you with three of these so make sure you grab them from your Messenger. I’d recommend putting them in your SafeLock as they only require one inventory space.

If you lose them, you can always buy more from Lab Rat for $100. Head to the India 1 LZ via chopper and then southwest into Ban-Pa. The screenshot above shows you where to get all three samples. In total, you must collect the following samples:

1. Collect ground samples from a mound of soil.
2. Collect water samples from a well.
3. Collect avian tissue samples.

Collect ground samples

Your first destination should be to collect the ground samples from a mound of soil. Head southwest of the LZ, down near the first docks of Ban Pa. Skirt close to the hill where the dock area begins, and look for a mount of dirt at 206, 137 close to the dock. As long as you have a Sample Collection Kit on you, you will be able to interact with the mound of soil to collect the ground sample.

Collect water samples

Next, you will need to gather some water samples for the It’s In The Water task. Head directly west into Ban Pa from where you found the ground samples, being careful of enemy guards and other players as you work your way around the town. You’ll come across a makeshift well with a metal lid and an oil can on top around the middle of 205, 137. Interact with the well to collect your water samples and use another Sample Collection Kit.

Collect avian samples

Finally, head southeast back towards the southern part of the dock area in southern Ban Pa, while following the road alongside it. Near the southern end of the road, you will find a birdhouse in someone’s backyard that for some reason has blood all over the side of it in the southeast corner of 205, 136. This is where you will collect the avian samples.

How to complete It’s In The Water task

Once you have collected all three samples, the It’s In The Water task in Gray Zone Warfare is complete. Head to the nearest LZ and extract back to base camp. Thankfully, if you do manage to die at this point, you will not lose the objective complete status for all three samples. They also don’t require any physical items to be handed over to Lab Rat, so simply getting to base camp will allow you to complete It’s In The Water.

At base camp, hit the Tab key to open your UI and speak to Lab Rat. Click on the task tab then click the yellow Complete button in the bottom right to complete the It’s In The Water task. For your efforts, Lab Rat will give you the following rewards:
