MW3 on PC is completely unplayable, devs looking into fix

It's like looking at a picture of MW3.

Bugs and glitches in video games shouldn’t come as a surprise, but for Modern Warfare 3 players, a new issue has left it completely unplayable. Thankfully, the devs are already aware, and investigating it to find a fix.

While some players on PC are having a great time jumping into matches, others are struggling with an error that makes the game incredibly laggy. In fact, it’s so bad that it’s essentially impossible to play the game, as the stuttering is so frequent that players can barely move, never mind aim their weapons at enemies.

If you haven’t been affected by it, check out the video below, which shows the true extent of the problem.

After watching that, it should come as no surprise that MW3 players are begging the developers to address it, and the good news is that the team is aware of it and actively looking into it. As surmised by a number of players, the issue stems from “higher-than-expected” RAM usage, as confirmed by the Call of Duty Updates X account.

Gamers report that it’s using up to 90% of their memory when looking at Task Manager, which is certainly not ideal. This is causing the game to lag, as the system just can’t keep up with the game’s demands.

Thankfully, with the developers aware and investigating, it should only be a matter of time until we get a fix. Luckily, I haven’t been hit by this issue, but I know some who have, and they’ve essentially quit the game until a fix comes in because there’s “no point booting it up to watch a PowerPoint presentation.”

We’ll be sure to keep you updated when a patch drops to address it.
