Venture is the newest character to be added to Overwatch 2 with Season 10. They mark the newest Damage character to be added to the roster, equipped with many short-range options for dealing with enemies. Venture, also known by their full name Sloan Cameron, is the second character to hail from Canada, alongside Sojourn. More specifically, they’re a Mexican-Canadian archaeologist and adventurer hailing from Nova Scotia (which as a Canadian feels like a random choice admittedly). As of late, however, Venture’s been associated with the Wayfinder Society, an archaeological research group that’s been searching for lost artifacts in Petra. Through their travels, they’ve come into contact with both Overwatch and Talon, though their hostile interactions with Talon speak to whom they’d likely find allegiance.

As per the existing lore, Venture is 26 years old, which places them comfortably between characters like Brigitte and Tracer.

Who is Venture’s Voice Actor?

Venture is voiced by Valeria Rodriguez, a Mexican voice actor who’s had a few other high-profile roles. If you’re a big fan of gacha games, you’ll know them as the voice actor for Sucrose in Genshin Impact. You may also know them as the voice of Lagoona in Monster High (the G3 variant of their doll). Venture is their largest role yet, though they seem to sport a wide range of talents.

As a bonus fact, and a rather morbid one at that, Venture is asked by Lucio in an interaction between the two what their favorite animal is. In response, they say they’d want to be eaten alive by Scarabs. Not how I’d want to go out, but to each their own.
