How to get the full set of Destiny 2: Into The Light armor?

In an ornamental sort of mood.

Depending on how familiar you may be with Destiny 2‘s deep lore, the game’s now-sunset Red War campaign began with a huge celebratory parade, and Guardians then wore custom Parade gear. Into The Light runs with this idea, reimagining that very same Parade armor for glorious new victories.

Now, to be fair, while Into The Light‘s revitalized Parade gear isn’t what some of us had been hoping to see, it’s a very interesting collection of designs that will combine marvelously with some of Destiny 2’s older armor sets. Especially when blacked out with the legendary Superblack Shader, which trumps any other fan-favorite Shader from Destiny 2‘s history. Here’s the thing, though: it’s going to take a while until you can get your Parade armor. The good news is that it’s free, of course, but the bad news is that it’ll take a whole lot of Onslaught before you can don the full set of this spruced-up gear.

Unlocking the Destiny 2: Into The Light armor sets

To be specific, all three Guardian Classes’ Destiny 2: Into The Light Parade armor sets are available via the new social space, Hall of Champions. If you, like yours truly, simply ran straight for Shaxx to trade in your Trophies of Bravery for shiny new holo-foil guns, then you might’ve initially ignored the 15 chests sitting in the middle of the room. Those chests hold your future Parade armor, and if you look to the left and right of each of the three five-chest sets, you’ll notice Guardian Class statues at the ends of the Hall. These will help you figure out where your Class’s armor is, so that you don’t end up accidentally spending hard-earned Trophies on the wrong Parade set.

How much does Destiny 2: Into The Light armor cost?

As you’d expect, Bungie does want you to invest a bit of time and effort into unlocking Into The Light‘s fancy new kit. And, yes, elbow grease is the name of the game, because it’s going to take a fair bit before you can jump into a full suit of snazzy Parade armor:

  • Parade Class Item (Cloak/Bond/Mark): Shaxx Reputation Rank 4 + 10 Trophies of Bravery
  • Helmet: Shaxx Reputation Rank 14 + 50 Trophies of Bravery
  • Chestplate: Shaxx Reputation Rank 10 + 30 Trophies of Bravery
  • Arms: Shaxx Reputation Rank 12 + 40 Trophies of Bravery
  • Legs: Shaxx Reputation Rank 6 + 20 Trophies of Bravery

This grind is no small feat, bear in mind. Reaching the maximum rank with Shaxx in Hall of Champions will, without a doubt, take hours upon hours of playing Onslaught. To optimize your XP output, make sure that you complete as many of Shaxx’s Bounties and Arcite 99-40’s Brave weapon quests as possible. Similarly, I’d recommend stocking up on Trophies of Bravery until you can unlock the full suit of Parade armor – just in case you find it hard to farm up Trophies later on. After all, the last thing you want is to finally max out a Vendor’s available rank, only to then have to continue farming additional resources to actually unlock the goodies you’ve been chasing after all along.

Hey, at least you’ll farm up huge amounts of Brave weaponry along the way!
