In Blue Protocol, you get to become the hero of your very own adventure anime story, but you can’t do that unless you have the right class.

Currently available exclusively in Japan, Blue Protocol is an action MMO where you’re the star of the game. You get to create a character and build them up from nothing into the hero the world needs. In order to do this, though, you’ll have to pick the right class based on its strengths and abilities, and it’s hard to know which ones are best without first diving into the details.

All Blue Protocol classes and their abilities and strengths

Below, I’ve listed every class in Blue Protocol alongside their abilities and strengths, so you have a decent idea of which one you should pick when you get into the game. Of course, you can pick any of them for your hero, but some may feel better for your play style than others.

All classes have abilities that can be swapped in and out and upgraded as players level up. I’ve included every ability below so you can get a decent picture of how powerful a class is with everything it can possibly do on the battlefield.

Blade Warden

The Blade Warden class in Blue Protocol is your classic warrior class. They use swords and shields for close-range combat to slice and beat their enemies into submission. Those shields are also handy for defending against incoming ranged or melee attacks, making this the perfect DPS class to draw attention from enemies while other characters finish them off.

Abilities

  • Ultimate – Judgement Shield: This massive attack bursts forward with the shield and makes enemies tremble if they’re not thrown out of the way. It also regenerates the character’s endurance upon activation.
  • Break Slash: A basic sword swing that can be augmented with a spin, elemental swing, or defensive buff.
  • Shield Guard and Counter Attack: When used correctly, shield guard and counterattack are defensive moves that can block incoming damage or counterattack. They can be augmented a couple of times to increase their strength and maximum limit.
  • Shield Charge: A forward rush with the shield to stun enemies. Can be upgraded to chain more enemies into a single rush.
  • Sunrise Charge: This is a standard Shield Charge that causes a holy explosion to erupt from your shield upon hitting an enemy. It can be upgraded to increase the number of enemies that can be hit.
  • Blow Beat: The hero slams their sword into the ground and creates a burst of damage that also aggros enemies.
  • Celestial Pillar: Summons a holy pillar of light that deals continuous damage to enemies in a small area.
  • Divide Slash: An almighty slash attack that divides and cuts through all enemies in front of the character.
  • Crescent Light: A crescent swing of the sword that also deals holy damage.
  • Fortress: Refills the shield gauge and provides a defensive buff to the character.
  • Regeneration: Regenerates HP for a short time.

Twin Striker

The Twin Striker class in Blue Protocol is similar to the Blade Warden, but packs two axes instead of a sword and shield. As you can imagine, this makes it pretty deadly in combat, because it doles out damage in every direction and doesn’t hold back. However it does need some protection, because it’s got nothing but lethal weapons to show off.

Abilities

  • Ultimate – Vortex Impact: This wide attack generates a shockwave and shakes any enemies it hit. It also regenerates stamina upon hits.
  • Beast Swing: A basic swing attack that can be chained together across multiple hits.
  • Axe Tornado: This is a spin attack that reduces the damage taken while spinning and makes the hero immune to counterattacks.
  • Blood Axe: A buff applied to the hero’s axes that grants them HP from the enemies they hit for a brief period.
  • Brutal Blow: A charged attack that deals more damage the longer it’s charged. It’ll also steal HP for the hero.
  • Crimson Blow: A spinning axe attack with flaming axes that causes additional elemental damage.
  • Fall Impact: A falling axes attack that causes additional damage when attacking from the air and draws enemy aggro.
  • Lava Impact: A lunge attack that creates a lava floor for a short time that will damage enemies and draw their aggro.
  • Storm Rush: Random axe swings designed to draw aggro from enemies.
  • Burning Rush: A slashing fire attack that can be upgraded for more hits in a flurry in front of the hero.
  • War Cry: This attack applies the Super Armor Status to the hero, meaning skills can’t be blocked for a short period of time.

Keen Strider

The Keen Strider class in Blue Protocol fulfills two roles in one. It’s similar to a ranged thief or rogue, using a bow and arrow to master the mid to close-ranged field in battle. However, it also has support buffs that it can call upon, giving everyone else added defense and strength or helping them heal faster through incoming attacks. It’s almost a Ranger-White Mage if you had to put it in a familiar box.

Abilities

  • Ultimate – Mortal Gravity: The hero charges an arrow with a powerful forcefield at the tip, which detonates on impact and pulls enemies into a single location.
  • Arrow Rush: This is a basic arrow shot that can be charged up to three times by drawing and holding it. Hitting weak points deals more damage.
  • Slalom Shot: A dodge move that causes the hero to move away from an attack while firing off an arrow at the same time.
  • Heal Rain: Fires an arrow that creates a small area where players and NPCs can heal for a short time. Charging up the shot will lengthen the time available to heal.
  • Charge Arrow: A charged shot that deals significant damage to a single enemy while absorbing HP from that shot.
  • Hypno Blast: An arrow that puts enemies to sleep and can penetrate through multiple foes to put a few to sleep in a single shot.
  • Stanbeen Arrow: Fires a set of four arrows into the enemies in front of the character. When fully upgraded, shots will poison enemies.
  • Negative Resonance: An arrow that can cause various states to jump from one enemy to another. For example, if one enemy is poisoned, a Negative Resonance arrow can spread it to the other enemies in the blast zone.
  • Riesel Shower: Creates a rain of arrows in a specific zone. This can be charged three times to create a massive zone where enemies will be damaged.
  • Dust Force: This shot creates an area where enemies are continuously damaged, and their status effects become stronger. When fully upgraded, the shot also slows enemies.
  • Hunter Spirit: Applies the Quick Interval status to the hero, which reduces the time it takes for skills to recharge.

Spell Weaver

The Spell Weaver class in Blue Protocol is a powerful magic class that can wipe out enemies from anywhere on the battlefield. These characters are difficult to master but devastating when used correctly. They can deal damage from afar to help everyone else in the party or push to the front and use massive magic attacks to wipe out enemies and bosses with little effort. They must be protected, though.

Abilities

  • Ultimate – Meteor Inferno: The hero summons a huge fiery meteor that deals a tonne of damage to enemies.
  • Trinity Shot: A chain magic attack that recovers the hero’s mana.
  • Trinity Bolt: Powerful magic attacks that recover mana.
  • Fire Blast: A fireball attack that can be charged up to three times for increased damage.
  • Flame Grenade: An AOE fire attack that creates a sphere of fire, damaging all enemies within. It can be charged up to three times for increased damage and sphere size.
  • Lightning: A beam of lightning the hero blasts out in front of them. It can be charged up to three times for increased damage.
  • Thunder Mine: An electrical attack that creates balls of electricity that will chase enemies and explode on impact. Charging the shot increases the number of balls.
  • Blizzard: Creates a snowstorm to damage and slow enemies. Can be charged up to three times for increased slowing and damage dealt.
  • Frigid Crush: throws ice cubes at targets, increasing the number of ice cubes with every level of the shot that’s charged.
  • Concentration: This ability temporarily regenerates the hero’s mana, reduces aggro, and increases their Ultimate charge rate.
  • Follow Bullet: Creates a field of bullets for a short time. These bullets are fired when other skills are used, adding to the damage the hero deals.

Foe Breaker

The Foe Breaker class in Blue Protocol is a heavy damage dealer with a huge hammer. They specialize in getting up close and one-shotting as many enemies as possible, but can also be useful for mid-range attacks on large groups of enemies. Think of them as crowd control, getting stuck in and blowing enemies away with high-damage hits.

Abilities

  • Ultimate: Terrorquake: The hero smashes the ground with their hammer, launching enemies into the air and knocking them down upon landing if they survive. An AOE is created where the attack hits, dealing more damage to enemies who land in it.
  • Sledge Swing: The basic attack for this class that chains together hammer swings to damage enemies.
  • Sledgeball: An attack that fires out balls to pull enemies in before slamming them with the hammer. It reaches foes that might be slightly too far for other attacks.
  • Aerial Attack: An attack used when falling from the air that causes damage and debuffs the enemy’s movement speed.
  • Pulverizing Pound: A lunge attack that causes the hero to leap and hit a specific spot or high damage.
  • Sandstorm: A spinning attack that hits enemies when they’re spun into and launches a ball when the hero stops.
  • Rocket Slam: A lunge attack that damages multiple enemies and applies the Super Armor buff to the hero so their attack can’t be interrupted while they jump.
  • Stoneskin: Grants the hero extra HP and Super Armor so their skills can’t be interrupted. It only lasts for a short while or until the hero has taken enough hits to end the skill.
  • Anchorball: Launches a ball that the hero can teleport to once it hits an enemy to finish that enemy off.
  • Stone Gale: Spawns two tornadoes that slowly move towards enemies, staggering them and dealing Earth damage to them.
  • Spikedriver: The hero jumps on the spot and slams the ground to create an Earth AOE that damages enemies.
  • Curative Cartridges: Loads a special round to allow the hero to attack and recover HP from those hits.
  • Cannonball: The hero launches an Earth elemental ball. The ball can then be aimed to help it hit an enemy’s specific weak point.
  • Dustdevil: A spinning AOE attack that deals Earth elemental damage. Once you hit an enemy, you can pull them in and decrease the movement speed of other nearby enemies.
  • Gravityball: The hero shoots a ball and pulls the enemy to them, stunning that enemy. Follow-up attacks are quicker if the enemy is pulled in.
