It’s a well known fact that Nintendo’s online service is, shall we say, lacking. It’s there, which is better than the GameCube, but it’s still not anywhere near as robust as the 360 or PSN. However, they do have some cool features that don’t get noticed and in Japan the Wii has video channels and some other random features. So we continue to dream that the U.S. channel line-up might get a bit more robust. Like maybe some Netflix?
It’s possible of course, but Reggie Fils-Aime is staying tight lipped on the fact other than to say that if they do Netflix it will be very different from their competitors. “We have nothing to announce [as] a partnership from an online streaming standpoint,” Fils-Aime said. “Should we go down that path we will do something different than our competitors.”
Should they go down that path? Nintendo streaming movies confirmed! Oh no, wait. I meant to say that Nintendo will probably never bring this to the system and even if they did why would you want to watch movies without a hi-def option? Silly me, sometimes I get what I mean to say mixed up.
