Sacred 2 still getting support

I’m a fan of Sacred 2. It’s one of the few games that are good due to being bad, which is something to be treasured. This is why I’m glad to hear that the game will be getting some sort of expansion, even though Ascaron’s financial troubles saw a number of its properties bought by Kalypso.

“Studio 2 (subsidiary company of Ascaron) has the license for Sacred 2 and the devs will continue working at the add-on as they did before,” says Ascaron community manager Anca Adelina. “In a nutshell, the add-on is not affected by anything and will come as planned.”

I wonder if the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions (for which Sacred 2 has been impressively specialized) will see any of these additions? Due to the company’s rather fragile status, I can only imagine the PC version being supported, which is a shame. Consoles really don’t have a proper loot ’em up outside of Sacred 2, so it’d be great to see the game getting some extras.
