In a press release issued today, Nintendo has confirmed that it will be holding a press conference at this year’s E3.
The event — which takes place at Los Angeles’ Club Nokia on Tuesday, June 2 — will focus on “information about upcoming products.” The release also mentions growth of the Wii and record-breaking DS sales, which means that 30 minutes of the media briefing will likely be Nintendo patting itself on the back; we are bracing ourselves for this.
Speaking will be all of the usual suspects — Satoru Iwata, Reggie Fils-Aime, and Cammie Dunaway. The briefing kicks off at 9 o’clock in the morning Pacific time, but doors open to the media at a outlandish 7:30 am, also known as the “crack of effin’ dawn.” While this is normally unacceptable, we’re bringin a rooster with us to Los Angeles to wake us up. Expect the usual live blog, images, and news as it breaks.
