Call of Duty modern warfare 3 zombies minot hawthorne server error

What is the Minot Hawthorne error in CoD MW3?

Can't get into the servers, but you can't rank up either.

Many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players have logged in and found some interesting things. Rank resets, progression stoppages, and worst of all, Minot Hawthorne. This error is the worst problem of the bunch, because it can completely prevent you from playing the game.

Minot – Hawthorne error affecting zombies and more

Primarily, the Minot Hawthorne error screen is impacting players trying to play Call of Duty MW3‘s zombies mode. When I logged into the game and entered zombies, I received the same error screen. However, multiplayer and Warzone game modes both loaded fine for me. Unfortunately, that’s not the case for everybody.

Some players have reported being unable to get into the servers for multiplayer and Warzone as well, citing the same error name. While obviously the rank resets and progression problems are huge, the inability to even play the game is a whole lot worse.

The developers didn’t acknowledge the error in their Tweet

The official CODUpdates Twitter account responded to the many issues popping up seemingly out of nowhere overnight. Fortunately, the response says the team is working on a fix for the progression issues with various parts of the game and loadouts. Unfortunately, it did not acknowledge the Minot Hawthorne error or say it’s working on a fix.

This error isn’t new, as it’s reportedly been popping up for players periodically since Modern Warfare 3‘s initial release back in November 2023. It has not been confirmed if all the issues are related to one another or just a big happy coincidence. Many Twitter users, like this one, reported being stuck on a loading screen while entering zombies. Others, like me, were immediately met with the Minot Hawthorne error screen pictured above.
