Can you play Skull and Bones offline?

Can you play this without the internet like Black Flag?

Being able to play Skull and Bones offline would let solo pirates succeed on the seas alone like Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. With so many live service elements in this game, however, parley might not be an option.

Is there a Skull and Bones offline mode?

As of the time of writing, there’s no way to play Skull and Bones offline. During my testing, the game doesn’t boot up offline. It says it “Failed to initialize online service.” It asks for you to “check your network settings and connection and try again” with the error code KINGFASTER-00100100.

Can you play Skull and Bones by yourself?

During a regular playthrough of Skull and Bones, you won’t need to team up with fellow players if you don’t want to. You will come across ships around you on the seas, however. Thankfully, they can only attack you during PvP contracts and world events.

If you ever decide to have friends join your party, you should know Skull and Bones is crossplay, so anyone can join you, even on Amazon Luna.

Offline games like Skull and Bones you can play instead

If you want to play an offline pirate game, there are a few options for you. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is an excellent way to get your fix. It has an expansive open world, engaging ship combat, and an adventure to be had on land as well. It holds up well, despite being a decade old.

Another obvious choice would be Sea of Thieves. It has seasons of content to play through, and the waves are absolutely gorgeous in-game. Banjo-Kazooie developer Rare adds a charming English touch to the genre as well. It’s definitely improved since its initial release.

Surprisingly Disney Infinity offers a Pirates of the Caribbean level pack that works well. It has simple, yet solid ship combat and strong customization. You can add different Rear Hulls and Sails to your ship.
