To play Helldivers 2 alone, you will have to set up a game and change it to ‘Friends Only’ in the multiplayer options. Naturally, you’ll need to forgo inviting your pals to join you. Personally, as someone who has trudged through bug guts before, I wouldn’t recommend playing Helldivers 2 solo. I haven’t done it myself yet, but I recall how hard the original got with just two people. Having a team of four, on the other hand, made survival much more attainable, and the game way more fun.
