New studio Loose Cannon’s E3 debut for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii

Loose Cannon (great name) is a new studio that features talent from Sucker Punch and Disney. They’ve got a new multiplatform game in the works, and they expect it to come out either late this summer or early fall.

It looks like we’ll have to wait for a couple of weeks to see what the team has been working on, as they plan on unveiling the title at this year’s E3. We do know it will be released for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii. It’s an original property that the Seattle-based developer has been working on since 2005. Gamespot says that the company also has a second original IP in the works, too.

The company’s about page lists games from their collective experience: Sly Cooper, Spyro The Dragon, Crash Bandicoot, Halo, Jak and Daxter, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Dungeon Siege, No One Lives Forever, and many more. Not a bad list.

I love that a new original IP is coming. We’re looking forward to seeing it.
