How to get the White Mask in Elden Ring

The White Mask will be located in the Mohgwyn Palace area, which is located by selecting the underground regions of the map. This area is located in the eastern region of the Siofra River. There are two ways to get to the area that has this headgear.

Your first option is to follow the White Mask Varre questline until you reach this area. This means you must refrain from killing him until you reach Mohgwyn Palace.

The other way is to progress far enough into the story until you reach the Consecrated Snowfield area. Though, you have to be on the other side of the area, taking the Hidden Path to the Haligtree. The closest Site of Grace to enter Mohgwyn Palace will be the Yelough Anix Tunnel.

From that area, head north until you encounter a Rune Bear. It’ll be guarding the portal that takes you to where you need to go.

Upon reaching Mohgwyn Palace, you ideally want to unlock the Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace. This is also where the very popular Rune farming area is where you use the Sacred Relic Sword’s Wave of Gold ability.

In any case, you want to head to the area we marked in the screenshot. You’ll face a variety of Albinaurics and other blood-infused enemies. What you will be looking for are these three Nameless White Mask Invaders. One of them will drop the White Mask.

The Invader who consistently drops the piece of headgear will be located between the cliffs south of where you find a Golden Seed.

Is the White Mask a missable item?

This item is missable, so be careful. To prevent locking yourself out, do not fight Mohg, Lord of Blood until you have defeated the three Nameless White Mask Invaders. It’s easy to gloss over the invading NPCs since more often than not, we’ll try to run past the bloody pond areas in the Mohgwyn Palace.

Take your time and engage enemies one by one. Everything can inflict Blood Loss here. To add to the difficulty, the dogs in the area can easily kill you, even if you block their attacks. If you need to run away, you can summon Torrent here, so keep that in mind. Just try not to get blindsided by a blood geyser.
