Successfully selling scrap to the Company in Lethal Company allows you to save up and purchase yourself some upgrades. Some of the upgrades for your ship benefit your entire crew, and can be pretty useful for successful excursions. However, money can be hard to come by in Lethal Company, and there are quite a few upgrades to choose from here. Here are the best Lethal Company late-game upgrades that you should consider buying first.
Best Ship Upgrades in Lethal Company
If you want to increase your odds of a successful operation in Lethal Company, you’re going to want to purchase some Ship Upgrades. Some of the Ship Upgrades may seem unimportant, but most of them can actually make a pretty big difference when scavenging on moons. Here are all the best Ship Upgrades in Lethal Company and why we think you should get them:
- Teleporter – The Teleporter allows you to teleport a player, even a dead one, back to your ship. Unfortunately, doing so drops all of the items in the player’s inventory that you teleport, including scrap and any equipment they may have. That may make it sound useless, but it definitely isn’t. If you know for sure you’re not going to make it back to the ship, that you’re going to die, or if it’s a dead body you don’t want to leave behind, teleporting back to the ship will prevent you from accruing the body-retrieval fee. This can save a lot of money and allow you to get more profit until your crew gets better at escaping.
- Signal Translator – If you are playing with randoms, or playing the game properly and not using external communications with your crew like Discord, a Signal Translator can be huge. With this upgrade, someone on the ship can use the terminal to transmit a message to everyone regardless of where they are. The only downside is only nine characters can be input into the Signal Translator message. It’s recommended the crew comes up with some shortened words that everyone understands, such as “levi” indicating a Levithan is near the ship so returning players can be prepared.
- Inverse Teleporter – The Inverse Teleporter allows you to transport to a random location in the facility on the moon. You will drop everything when you do so, just like the regular Transporter. That’s certainly a bummer, but you can still use this technique to quickly gather some scrap at the beginning of the day. Once you start, jump into the Inverse Teleporter, grab all the scrap you can while there are no enemies around, and quickly bring it back to the ship for some easy profit.
How to buy Ship Upgrades in Lethal Company
In order to buy Ship Upgrades, simply visit the terminal on the ship and type “store”. Scroll down and you will see a list of Ship Upgrades that are available. To buy them, simply type the name of the upgrade, then type “c” to confirm the purchase.
That is all the best Lethal Company late game upgrades and why we think they are worth purchasing. Hopefully with the right upgrades your crew will have a better chance of success on the moons!
