Lethal Company monster guide: How to deal with the Bracken

Here's how to outsneak the snake.

You shouldn’t mess with most of Lethal Company’s monsters — especially the Bracken. I ranked the Bracken as the third spookiest monster in Lethal Company back when the game came out, and I can confirm he’s still got it.

Don’t find the image I’ve used scary enough? Well, that’s because I showed you one of the few instances in which a Bracken got caught under natural light. The Bracken tends to be no more noticeable than a creepy shadow, but way more deadly than one.

Oh, that’s more like it. Let’s learn how to deal with this nightmare, shall we?

What makes the Bracken dangerous

Instead of brute force, the Bracken relies mostly on stealth. His thing is sneaking behind your team members, snapping their necks, and then carrying the bodies away from exits and to the “Bracken room”. That sucks because it may mess with the awareness of your team, and also makes it harder to retrieve the corpses. Think of the Bracken as an evil version of Solid Snake. What makes him really scary isn’t aren’t his looks, but his ability to make players feel like the defenseless guards from Metal Gear Solid. That’s pretty bad already, but the Bracken also has some extra scary tricks up his sleeves. Even though he doesn’t like engaging in face-to-face combat, staring at him for over five seconds will anger the Bracken and cause him to attack and kill players in one hit.

What are the Bracken’s weaknesses?

Even though staring at him for too long will make the Bracken a tougher enemy, merely looking at him and looking right away will scare him off. The best way to deal with the bracken threat is to quickly check out every corner, and act as the eyes on the back of your teammates.

How to kill the Bracken?

You can stun and kill the Bracken with melee weapons, so long as you’re careful not to stare at it for too long while beating it up. The least risky way is to kill him with landmines.

You can now attempt your luck against the Brackens in Lethal Company on PC.
