The Finals is one of those games where it’s crucial to have voice comms on. You can’t risk getting killed by a player on the enemy team because you missed a callout. Plus, teamwork makes the dream work. If you’re having issues with voice chat not working in The Finals, here’s how to fix that problem.
How to fix voice chat not working in The Finals
There shouldn’t be some kind of bug preventing you from an entire feature like the greyed-out play button issue. You might have a hard time getting voice comms to work in this game because they’re disabled by default.
While you’re on the main menu in The Finals, go to the game’s Settings. In that menu, you should see three options: Settings, Enable Voice Chat, and Credits. Simply click that “Enable Voice Chat” setting and now you should be able to communicate with your team. They must do the same to do this.
Alternatively, you can hit the “Settings” option and go over to the Audio tab. Go all the way down in the settings in this tab to find Voice Chat. You can enable it there too and set it to everyone or friends only. You can also adjust the output volume so you can still hear what goes on in-game.
Other methods for voice chatting in The Finals
You can always just make a pre-made voice chat session depending on what platform you’re on. For example, create a party on PlayStation or Xbox. Of course, that will only work if the people you plan on playing the game with are on the same console. Otherwise, you will have to use third-party apps like Discord to establish comms that way.
With recent Discord integration on consoles, you can easily use that to talk to your friends on all platforms, including PC. Of course, when you play with randoms online, you’ll have to stick to the game’s voice chatting system.
