One of the big draws to any MMO is the social aspect. So, when you find a group of people that you gel with, it can completely transform the game. However, sometimes that magic wears off and you need to leave your WoW Classic guild.
Now, leaving a guild doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. Perhaps your focus has changed and now you want to switch gear to something like raiding or PvP. Or maybe the guild has slowly fizzled out. Either way, it’s always good to know when to call it quits.
How to break up with your guild in WoW Classic
Fortunately, quitting a World of Warcraft Classic guild is super easy. Type “/gquit” or “/guildquit” without quotes into your chat window. You’ll then receive a notification saying your character has left the guild.
With that bit of ugliness out of the way, you can now get to important matters like posting the news on all of your social media and Discord servers. Really lean into it with your character doing some ugly crying and getting absolutely plastered in the nearest tavern.
Once the hangover has worn off, you can dive into something like Season of Discovery to further blow off some steam. After doing the unthinkable as a Warlock tank in Blackfathom Deeps, you can get back into the guild scene.
You’re a new, stronger, and more beautiful version of yourself and any guild would be lucky to have you. So, get out there, mingle, flirt a bit, and find the guild that best suits you. It’s okay if your rebound doesn’t work because you now know how to dump them. Simply keep being amazing.
