I just got an email from an anonymous source featuring an image (seen above) with the file name “9_113_141520_11215145” and the text “Soon, our trip will continue. Sincerely, Only a man”. At first I assumed it was Tron related, what with my well known love of the movie and that new sequel coming out. Then I thought harder, and remembered this wallpaper from a while back, which led me to get really excited.

I think this may be the new teaser image for the next Bit.Trip game.

Simple, original, and compelling are the three words I’d use to describe Bit.Trip Beat. It’s without a doubt one of my favorite games of 2009, so the thought that I may be one of the first to get an exclusive look at the next entry in the Bit.Trip series has my mind all aflutter with joy. Very little is currently known about what’s in store for the next Bit.Trip, other than it’s planned to be a totally new experience, but will be rhythm/action based just like the original.

Is my wild, unbridled excitement for more Bit.Trip blinding me, or do you think I’m on the right track? What do you think that file name means? What kind of gameplay does the image imply?

I’m too excited to think straight, people. Help me understand what’s going on.
