The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 perks system is a little different than most entries. Instead of adding perks, there are gloves, gear, and boots that give you buffs.
What Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 perks can you get?
There are all manner of different perks you can gain in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 through these clothing items. They include:
- Quick-Grip Gloves – You’ll have increased weapon swap speed
- Ordnance Gloves – You can throw equipment faster and reset the fuse timer on thrown-back grenades.
- Commando Gloves – You can reload while sprinting
- Scavenger Gloves – You can resupply ammo and throwing knives from dead players
- Marksman Gloves – There will be reduced sway and flinch during ADS (aim down sights)
- Assault Gloves – While jumping, accuracy and time to ADS is improved
The first four can be gained by leveling up. For example, the Commando Gloves are unlocked after you reach Level 29. However, you’ll need to finish five daily challenges for the Marksman Gloves and three daily challenges for the Assault Gloves.
All boots in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
The boots in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 provide perks that revolve around movement across the map. They include:
- Lightweight Boots – You’ll gain increased movement and swim speed. It also reduces noise from swimming.
- Climbing Boots – Your climbing and mantling speed increases. It reduces fall damage too.
- Running Sneakers – The Tac Sprint duration’s increased and you get reduced refresh time too.
- Tactical Pads – Increased slide distance and allows for aiming down sights while sliding. Your stance transition speeds and crouched movement are increased as well.
- Stalker Boots – Your strafe and ADS movement speed goes up.
- Covert Sneakers – Your footsteps go silent.
The Covert Sneakers can be unlocked by finishing three daily challenges. The others are unlocked as you level up. The Stalker Boots are unlocked at Level 54.
All MW3 perks from Gear
You can also gain perks from the gear you select in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. This is going to be a long list. They include:
- EOD Padding – Reduces damage from non-killstreak explosives and fire
- TAC Mask – Reduces the effectiveness of enemy flash, stun, and gas grenades against you. You’re also immune to shock, EMP, and Snapshot Grenades
- Mission Control Comlink – Reduces the Killstreak cost by one kill or 125 points
- Bone Conduction Headset – Reduces the combat noise and allows for improved identification of enemy footsteps and gunshots
- Mag Holster – You’ll gain improved reload speed
- Blacklight Flashlight – Shows recent enemy footsteps
- L/R Detector – This warns you of hostile laser and radiation sources
- Threat Identification System – While ADS, your enemies are pinged when they hit your crosshairs
- Signal Jammer – It makes a signal whenever you’re near claymores and mines
- Hijacked IFF Strobe – AI targeting systems and thermal optics can’t see you. You also can’t be detected by Tactical Cameras and Recon Drones
- Ghost T/V Camo – Blocks detection from UAVS, enemy radar sources, and Heartbeat Sensors
- Data Jacker – Enemies taken out drop a smartphone. This can be used as a radar ping in the area
