The cabaret club minigame is back with a newly immersive lean in the latest Like a Dragon. And if you’re trying to win the heart of Ayu at the Club Heavenly cabaret in Like a Dragon Gaiden, you’ll need the right answers.
To complete the romance, you’ll have to order drinks, fill out the bar, and rack up hearts as you ascend through tiers of Romance Levels. All of this plays out over an FMV as Ayu, the hostess, responds to what you say. You’ll need to respond well, with a hefty amount of “rizz,” to win her over.
How to up your Affection with Ayu
Completing the Cabaret Club plot line with any hostess like Ayu in Like a Dragon Gaiden means increasing their love meter through various acts, accruing hearts and eventually hitting three. Once you’ve got all three hearts, you’ll unlock the special FMV and get the completion achievement.
In my experience, there are a few ways to go about this. Drinks and giving gifts can accrue extra Affection on the love meter, especially if you give a good present. By the late-game sections of Like a Dragon Gaiden, I was picking up a surprising number of gifts, so make sure to hand those out. Drinks are useful, but expensive. It’s only worth indulging if you have more cash than you could need.

Completing Ayu’s Cabaret Club romance
Once you’ve hit three hearts and answer questions correctly, Ayu will invite you out after her cabaret club shift ends. After a light visual novel-like segment, she’ll invite Joryu to help her with some special photographs she’s wanted to take.
The FMV scene will play out, and you’ll get a “Finished!” clear on Ayu’s profile, netting you the Ayu’s Arm Candy title on the Akame Network and 2,500 Akame points. You can still head back to Club Heavenly afterwards in Like a Dragon Gaiden to hang out with Ayu or rewatch any scenes.
