Starfield meets Doctor Who in this Dalek mod

[Insert obvious Dalek quote here]

If you thought we were done talking about Starfield mods, think again. One of the great things about PC gaming (typically) is the ability to tinker with vanilla releases. In this case, one person has taken Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG and injected a dose of Doctor Who.

Over on Nexus Mods, user xShadowBlitzz has brought the iconic Daleks to Starfield, replacing the sanitation mini bots that scuttle about the place.

From the description, this mod is currently a work-in-progress, featuring three textured Daleks so far. It also looks as though they don’t have their sound effects yet, but they could be coming in a future update.

Are we bored with Starfield yet?

There’s no denying that there’s a lot to see in the game, but the newest IP from the Skyrim studio already feels like it’s dropped off the radar a tad. Its hype was all too real, with the game becoming one of the most successful launches of this console generation.

It’s too early to say at this stage, but some may be wondering whether it will outlast the likes of TES5. The 2011 fantasy RPG has somehow kept itself in the limelight (probably helped by all those re-releases). Some of this longevity can be attested to the modding community.

Whether Starfield will be able to boast such a legacy more than ten years from now cannot be said. However, if Bethesda keeps on top of things with new content and bug fixes (look it up, Todd), it could stand the test of time. Also, mods. More mods will probably help.
