There are quite a few weapons to play with in Starfield, and they take different ammo types. Particle beam weapons are a little different because they deal both physical and energy damage. This makes them extra useful when you need an all-purpose weapon that’ll protect you against most foes.
There aren’t many particle beam weapons around, making it a good score when you find one. This guide will list all the particle beam weapons in Starfield and where to get them.
All particle beam pistols and where to find them in Starfield
There are four particle beam pistols available, and they rely on Light Fuse ammo. Fortunately, you can purchase most of them from stores around the Settled Systems.
1. Novalight
The Novalight is a good gun to add to your favorite weapons for a few reasons. It has a good spread of stats ensuring it has what it takes to get you out of most sticky situations. It is also relatively ubiquitous, meaning you could come across one when looting fallen foes. Alternatively, you can purchase it from Arboron in the Ryujin Towers lobby or Neon Tactical. Both vendors are in Neon.
2. The Spacer
The Spacer has slightly better stats than the Novalight, making it the best option if you’re picking between the two. It deals 9 PHYS and 30 ENGY damage, making it a pretty brutal weapon. You can pick it up at Arboron in Neon.
3. The Terror Inflictor
This gun is very good, dealing 21 PHYS and 65 ENGY damage. The only downside is that it’s pretty rare. The only way to reliably acquire it is from a Starborn merchant in New Game+.
4. Va’ruun Starshard
It doesn’t look like much, but the most powerful particle beam pistol around is the Va’ruun Starshard. It deals 26 DMG and 80 ENGY, and you can get it from Neon Tactical.
All particle beam rifles and where to find them in Starfield
Rifle particle beam weapons are exceptionally difficult to acquire. There are only three of them:
1. Va’ruun Inflictor
It’s hard to go wrong with the Va’ruun Inflictor which deals 38 PHYS and 113 ENGY. Like the rest of the particle beam rifles, it uses heavy fuse ammo. You can buy it from Centaurion Arsenal in New Atlantis.
2. Eternity’s Gate
This late-game weapon is hard to get but very much worth the wait. You can pick it up from the Emissary if you defeat them after siding with the Hunter. It deals 17 PHYS and 50 ENGY damage.
3. Reflection
The most powerful particle beam rifle is the Reflection. It deals 42 PHYS and 137 ENGY, so there’s not much that can withstand it. You can pick it up from The Trader in New Game+.
All particle beam shotguns and where to find them in Starfield
There are only two particle beam shotguns in Starfield and they have very similar stats. They all use heavy fuse ammo.
1. Jake’s Hangover Cure
If you need a particle beam shotgun, look no further than Jake’s Hangover Cure. You can find it in The Well behind the counter at Jake’s. The shotgun deals 32 PHYS and 94 ENGY damage.
2. Big Bang
The Big Bang also deals 32 PHYS and 94 ENGY. You can purchase it from Centaurion Arsenal in New Atlantis. Don’t miss out on this amazing weapon.
If you’re looking for a less lethal solution to conflicts, consider scoring yourself some electromagnetic guns. They’ll incapacitate your foes without killing them, giving you time to flee.
