Experience Assassin's Creed: Mirage the way you want.

Assassin’s Creed: Mirage launches this week, and it’ll take us to Baghdad where we’ll learn more about Basim’s origin story. Like past entries in the franchise, Mirage pays careful attention to the history and culture of its setting, and developers have revealed that their rendition of Baghdad is painstakingly detailed and seeks to debunk many of the harmful tropes associated with the region.

It appears that this is a title that is attempting to lure in longtime Assassin’s Creed fans by going back to the franchise’s roots and embracing more stealth gameplay. If you’re interested in diving into Basim’s adventure, you have a few options available.

As you’d expect, there’ll be a base game available at launch. It is $49 on all platforms, and purchasing the PS4 version gives you free access to a PS5 upgrade.

If you want the Deluxe Edition, you’ll be paying $59 on all platforms at launch. This version comes with the base game as well as a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, and a Deluxe Pack featuring the following items that should be appealing to fans of the Ubisoft franchise that laid the groundwork for Assassin’s Creed:

  • Prince of Persia-inspired outfit
  • Prince of Persia-inspired Eagle skin
  • Prince of Persia-inspired mount skin
  • Prince of Persia-inspired weapons

For fans who want to go all-out, there’s the $149.99 Collector’s Case. With this version, you’ll get all the contents of the Deluxe Edition, as well as a Basim figurine, brooch, soundtrack, and a map of Baghdad as depicted in the game. You’ll also get a steelbook case but be warned that it doesn’t come with a disc.

Regardless of what version you get, by preordering you’ll get a bonus quest called “The Forty Thieves.” Assassin’s Creed: Mirage launches on October 5 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
