You may have stumbled upon dear Lizzy Ajello in your Starfield travels. Perhaps it was during the Ryujin questline, or maybe you enjoy breathing in the fresh air of Gagarin. Either way, Lizzy has a job for you, and now it’s time to complete the Sure Bet quest in Starfield. That is if you haven’t already.
Curiosity may have already led you to the Deimos Armored Transport floating by its lonesome in the Alpha Centauri system. If so, you likely already managed to nab Lizzy’s quarry, a load of premium booze, from its vaults. And you’re no doubt clueless as to where you need to deliver it. Don’t worry, we know just the place.
Head to the planet Gagarin, also in the Alpha Centauri system. This lovely… place is home to some rather angry people but hides an excellent quest if you know with whom to speak. After you land, head forward and down the stairs with the Reliant Medial building to your left. Keep moving straight until you spot a red building. That’s the bar, owned by Lizzy. Start a conversation with her and say you’re looking for work. She’ll rope you into a job to find a derelict ship with “an impressive collection of booze on it.” Let’s get started.
Steps to complete the Sure Bet side quest in Starfield
You may be curious why I suggested some players likely explored the Deimos Armored Transport ship before. That’s because our very own Aidan O’Brien apparently did. If you want a highly detailed breakdown of how to navigate the twisting, gravity-defying innards of the ship, give his excellent guide a look. Otherwise, I’ll briefly go through the steps as we track down the missing hooch.
First, head to the ship orbiting the planet Grissom. Dock and go inside. It seems quiet, but only at first. Soon, you clash with pirates while dealing with the ship’s clearly broken artificial gravity device. Every clunk is followed by dimming lights and a complete lack of gravity. You’re forced to fight pirates with your boots on the floor or while floating. It’s honestly a killer concept. Move forward while following the quest marker, but make a note of this vault door:
Behind this door is the liquid gold you seek, which means you need to unlock it.
Find the way to open the vault
Keep moving forward, past the powerful mini-boss pirate, and through the spokes of the busted gravity machine. You’re nearly there. Float downward until you hit the floor of the gravity machine room and head through the large, orange door. Go down the stairs and use the computer you find. It unlocks the vault door you need to be opened. Head back until you return to the room past the gravity machine. Leave and activate the panel to your left. It opens the door, giving you a shortcut down the elevator shaft. Keep moving until you reach the now-open vault.
The booze is near the top of the vault, completely out of reach on foot. Wait until the gravity turns off and float to the middle vault door up top. Within is your prize:
Sure Bet – What to do with Bogdonov’s Boutique Liquor in Starfield
Take Bogdonov’s Boutique Liquor (Box Set) back to Lizzy. You can squeeze her for more credits by explaining just how much danger her booze run put you in. She offered my 5,500 credits for the job, but I persuaded her for 7,500.
Note: If you already explored the aforementioned ship, all you need to do during your first meeting with Lizzy is to tell her you have the stuff. She handed over 7,500 credits.
