Assassin’s Creed Mirage is out now, and it looks like it’s really taking the franchise back to its roots. It may not seem like so long ago, but the original Assassin’s Creed was released in 2007. AC was available on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. We’re a couple of generations away from those times now, with players having a myriad of different platforms. Of course, Mirage is not available on those old systems. But, is Assassin’s Creed Mirage going to be on Switch? Let’s take a look.
Is Assassin’s Creed (AC) Mirage available on Switch?
No, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is not currently available on the Nintendo Switch. In fact, Ubisoft has never even mentioned any sort of consideration for the latest Assassin’s Creed title to come to the platform. With the game already out on pretty much every other platform, it’s very unlikely a stealthy Switch release is on the horizon.
If you want to get your hands on Assassin’s Creed Mirage at the moment, you will have to pick it up on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X|S. There is also an iOS release coming at a later date, for those into that sort of thing.
Will Assassin’s Creed Mirage be released on Switch later?
Probably not. For starters, Ubisoft has never talked about any plans to bring the game to the Switch. The game has been out for a couple of days, and any announcement for it coming to the handheld platform most likely would have been revealed by now.
However, there is at least one thing AC Mirage has going for it in terms of potential Switch hopes. Mirage released on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which are previous-generation platforms. In theory, this would make it easier to also port the game to Switch because similar assets are already made.
With that being said, I still think it’s unlikely that Mirage will come to the Switch.
