We have seen many heroes and villains step into the arena, and more Mortal Kombat 1 guest characters will be taking the stage. For example, the popular Omniman from the Invincible Amazon series and comics will be facing off against Scorpion and Johnny Cage. He will be included in the first Kombat Pack. Here are all of the Mortal Kombat 1 guest characters.
All of the Mortal Kombat 1 guest characters
We currently know there are three guest characters. That number will likely increase. More Kombat Packs will likely come. The current guest characters include:
- Homelander (from The Boys)
- Omni Man (from Invincible)
- Peacekeeper (from DC’s The Suicide Squad and his TV show)
The neat thing is that the original actors will likely return to their roles for Mortal Kombat 1. For example, Oscar award-winning actor J.K. Simmons is confirmed for the game. That’s huge. He’s no stranger to games, however, as he has roles in the critically acclaimed Baldur’s Gate 3 and Portal 2. Damn, he has a good agent!
Another fun cameo
Those aren’t the only cameos (not to be confused with kameo fighters) we’ll see in Mortal Kombat 1. We’re getting a skin with Jean Claude Van Damme as Johnny Cage.
Is the Kombat Pack worth it?
There will be a Kombat Pack that includes these first three guest characters and additional returning fighters. The Mortal Kombat characters in this pack are:
- Quan Chi
- Ermac
- Takahashi Takeda
This Kombat Pack costs $39.99. Shang Tsung and Havik by themselves cost $7.99. Therefore, you’ll likely be saving around $8 if you want all six characters if you buy the Kombat Pack. It will be worth it to see John Cena’s Peacemaker talking smack to The Boys’ Homelander and vice versa.
Who else could we see in Mortal Kombat 1?
The sky is pretty much the limit for this game’s guest characters. We’ve seen horror legends like Leatherface, the Alien, and the Predator join in past entries. Freddy Kreuger was one of the first. It would be neat to see God of War‘s Kratos return with his new look.
Additionally, if the developer NetherRealm wants another horror character to join Mortal Kombat, the creepy clown Pennywise from It would be a good pick. He has an iconic look and could shapeshift into different forms.
