Add a little Shockwave to your Pulverize
There’s over 100 Aspects across all of Diablo 4, so it can be a little tricky keeping up with how to obtain certain ones. The Shockwave Aspect is an extremely attractive option for Druids, primarily for those running a Pulverize build. But if you take a look at your Codex of Power, you’ll realize that the Aspect isn’t even listed there, with no indication how to get it.
Thankfully, we’ve figured out how to get the Shockwave Aspect in Diablo 4.
Where to find the Shockwave Aspect in Diablo 4
Most Aspects in the game unlock via the Codex of Power. Usually, you run a specific optional dungeon on any difficulty and unlock the Aspect permanently via the Codex. Unfortunately, you cannot acquire the Shockwave Aspect this way.
In order to obtain the Shockwave Aspect, you will need to extract it from an existing Legendary Item that already has its effect. Then you can imprint the Aspect onto the item of your choice. You can only do this once per extraction, so if you later get a better upgrade you want to put the Aspect on, you will have to extract it from an existing item again.
You can’t guarantee an item has the Shockwave Aspect on it ready to be extracted. But if you visit the Purveyor of Curiosities, you can gamble for the Aspect with Murmuring Obols. You will want to trade your Obols for amulets, gloves, or rings. All these equipment types can have the Shockwave Aspect on them.
With bad luck you may end up spending a ton of Obols gambling to get it. If you run out of the currency, you can try farming elite monsters that can drop Legendary equipment with the Aspect already on it. From here, take the item to an Occultist in any city and extract the Aspect.
Is it worth farming for the Shockwave Aspect?
If you are a Druid that uses the Pulverize skill, the answer is always going to be yes.
This offensive Legendary Aspect causes your Pulverize to also send out a Shockwave in a cone in front of you, dealing extra damage. The Shockwave is a secondary attack alongside the Slam from Pulverize. This means you can actually hit enemies twice with Pulverize from one use of the skill. This makes these builds very strong against boss enemies due to the double hit.
