How to unlock Popla Foothills Skyview Tower in Tears of the Kingdom

This is a great foothold to get early

Towers are one of the most important elements of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. They’re perfect little fast travel spots: allowing you to gain ground on both story missions and sidequests, as you can shoot out of them like a canon to traverse mountains, forests, and bodies of water alike. Here’s where to find the Popla Hills Skyview Tower, which provides an excellent vantage point for the Faron area.

Where to find Popla Foothills Skyview Tower

The Popla Foothills Skyview Tower is located south of Central Hyrule, just above the Faron region.

You can easily reach it by using the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower, or by traveling directly from Central Hyrule using the roads.

How to solve the puzzle of the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower

Several of Tears of the Kingdoms‘ Towers can be unlocked through the always-useful Ascend ability, which lets you rise up through the ground into structures and land masses above you. From the Popla Foothills Tower, head south and jump/glide off of the mountain to reach the Popla Foothills Excavation Site.

Walk inside the cave (pictured above) and veer right. Line yourself up so that the minimap tower icon is on top of your current location, then use Ascend in the alcove with the mushrooms. You’ll rise directly into the tower! Interact with the podium to unlock it.
