What do you get for beating the Resident Evil 4 remake?

Besides a sense of accomplishment

Are you wondering if it’s worth it to complete the main campaign of Resident Evil 4? Well, you (assumedly) paid money for it, so I hope that’s your goal. But if you need a little bit of extra incentive, here are some of the things you unlock.

Beating the game on any difficulty and achieving any rank will net you the following:

• Professional difficulty. If Hardcore wasn’t enough for you, this unlocks the new most difficult difficulty.
• New Game Plus. This allows you to play through the game again on any difficulty, and it carries over all the gear and money that Leon “Sassypants” Kennedy had at the end of your playthrough.

Beyond that, a number of costume options will unlock and become available for purchase in the bonuses store. Some of the options only become available if you finish with a certain rank on a specific difficulty. However, regardless of how you play, a number of them will be available once you complete Resident Evil 4 for the first time.

Do you unlock Mercenaries by beating the Resident Evil 4 remake?

Nope! Not by default, at least. We recently learned that The Mercenaries mode would be added on April 7, 2023 as a post-launch content update.
