How to get the Cursed Armor in Octopath Traveler 2

It’s not all that cursed, actually

Recommended Videos

The Cursed Armor is one of the best pieces of equipment in Octopath Traveler 2. It grants an immense 222 Phys. Def. and Elem. Def., with the sole downside of deducting 66 Speed from the equipping character. However, if used in conjunction with the Blessing in Disguise accessory, that -66 Speed will turn into +66 Speed.

You probably won’t get this piece of equipment until you’re in the late game of Octopath Traveler 2. However, if you’re feeling adventurous, you may be able to retrieve it for yourself much earlier. Here’s where you need to go.

Where to find the Cursed Armor

The Cursed Armor is located in the House Wellows Manor. This dungeon is right outside the city of Timberrain, found on the western side of Southern Timberain Trail. The front door will be barred, so climb the ladder to the right of the house and enter through a hidden broken window.

This area has a Danger Level of 50, so underleveled players should be cautious entering here. Fortunately, you won’t have to travel far to get to the Cursed Armor. Go down the stairway in front of you and make your way to the right side of the bottom floor. In the rightmost room, you’ll see a red chest. Open it up and you’ll find the Cursed Armor inside. It’s that easy!

There are other treasures to be found in this area, so explore it if you wish. You’ll need to return to the House Wellows Manor to turn in the Mysterious Box item, so don’t sweat it if you aren’t up to the challenge just yet. Either way, congratulations on your armor! I can’t report any evil spirits appearing since equipping it, so your favorite character should be okay to wear it. Probably.
