It kicks off this weekend
The Nintendo PAX West slate is now available thanks to a My Nintendo post, and it seems pretty straightforward — so long as you have a Nintendo account.
Set to take place from September 3-6 at the Seattle Convention Center, PAX West [Prime] is back in person, and Nintendo is going to be there. The core of the event involves two things: demos for Splatoon 3, and invitational tournaments for both Splatoon 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. All of this requires a check-in!
To do that, you’ll need to register here, and select “Access My Nintendo QR code.” That will enable you to have your QR code scanned at a Nintendo kiosk. Note that you basically need a Nintendo account to access anything at the event, and the cutoff for the registration for the Splatoon 3 demo has passed — but you can still access the bonuses at PAX, like the Platinum Points (see below).
Nintendo PAX West events:
- Splatoon 3 demos (15 minutes, registration and approval required) – a “full-scale immersive experience will allow attendees to explore life-sized re-creations from the game’s adrenaline-fueled wasteland”
- Checking into the Nintendo booth for 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points
- PAX Invitationals for Splatoon 3 (Enter the Splatlands Invitational 2022) and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Championship Cup 2022)
- Checking into the PAX Arena nets you a free Nintendo Vs Cinch Bag (pictured here)
