Forget about Dead Space and Silent Hill: Homecoming, Six Flags: Fun Park for the Nintendo DS appears to have more horror and more survival than those two games combined. In fact, judging from the screens below, it appears as though this title has the potential to not only be amazingly scary, but also the best theme park simulation ever.
In regards to theme park simulation, think of it this way. Upon entrance to a theme park, people pay an exorbitant fee to be able to stand in lines that extend light-years down the pavement while an oppressive sun blisters their skin and bakes their soul. In terms of Fun Park, consumers will pay a fee to buy the game and then gradually lose I.Q. points by playing the mini-games. While I.Q. and skin are arguably different, the money is all the same.
The important thing is that Six Flags: Fun Park is obviously a brilliant attempt at bringing together both horror, survival and Whack-a-Mole together at last. Studios have been trying to do this for years with little success. Fun Park is obviously going to be a pillar of development hope amidst a sea of terrible titles like Fable II, Fallout 3, and LittleBigPlanet.
