Season 2 is still slated for May
Halo Infinite Season 2 details can’t come soon enough, and hopefully it improves upon the inaugural season of the new shooter.
As you may recall, Season 1 of Halo Infinite had issues out of the gate, and was slow to adjust in several respects. Some of that has already been fixed, but 343 has work to do in terms of making future seasons more compelling to play through. A new blog is hinting at some adjustments that could make that a reality.
Here are all of the Halo Infinite Season 2 details we know so far:
- It’s due out in May (the target date is May 3) and info is coming soon
- It’s called “Lone Wolves”
- It’ll usher in new maps, armor, and characters
- There’s going to be an “evolving seasonal narrative” that includes cinematics
On paper, all of that sounds good. I mean, as long as they don’t screw this up, the foundation of the season pass system is pretty firm. Given that you can freely go back to old season passes and finish them on your own time, it’s less predatory than some other passes that weaponize FOMO. Not to say they didn’t do that with events in season 1: but again, there’s room for improvement in the upcoming Lone Wolves season.
By the time Forge and co-op enter the fray this year, there’s a chance to sort of reinvigorate the entire Infinite landscape and refresh everything. “Addressing issues negatively impacting player experience” is allegedly priority number one for the team, so we’ll see.
