All of the latest happening beats from the hit parade
Hey Daddy-O, if you are swell enough to own a straight-from-the-fridge PS5 console, then do I have some hip and happening news for you. Sony has announced that its shiny new hardware now supports Apple Music, opening up millions upon millions of tracks to Apple Music subscribers. The app is available to download from the PlayStation Store.
Whispers of the tuneful app’s arrival came earlier this month via Reddit, after several people saw a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Apple Music icon pop up on their dashboards. Soon afterward, Sony confirmed on the official PlayStation Blog that the subscription-based feature was indeed coming to PS5, which incidentally becomes the first console to support the Apple Music service.
If you’re an Apple Music subscriber, then all you need do is download the app on PS5 and log in with your Apple account details. You will then have access to the entire catalog, readily available to stream through your console. The service includes some 90 million individual tracks, thousands of playlists, 4K resolution music videos, and seamless integration with gameplay sessions. If you ever wanted to battle through the underworld of Hades while listening to Tony Bennett, now you can.
