Electronic Arts fully revealed the new Need for Speed game, which is set to debut this November on PC, PS4, and Xbox One: HeatThe Need for Speed franchise has always had a penchant for fiery monikers, dating back to “Hot Pursuit” in 1998, and Need for Speed Heat will focus on a “rogue police force” and street racing with an open world setting.

In what is possibly one of the most generic marketing statements this year, EA says the game “deepens and expands everything Need for Speed fans love – expressive customization, authentic urban car culture, and an immersive narrative that pulls you into the game.” In all seriousness it doesn’t look bad, and given that Ghost Games (who has handled three NFS titles already, which slowly improved over time) is back, it’s a good sign.

Naturally your EA pre-order bonus incentives are in, including the BMW i8 Coupe, Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe, Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, player cosmetics, and increased in-game currency boosts for the deluxe edition. There’s another curious promotion: if you pre-order the game from inside Need for Speed Payback (the last entry, released in 2017) you’ll get a 10% discount.

Need for Speed Heat launches on November 8, but EA Access and Origin Access Basic members can play 10 hours of it early on November 5.
