Activision is set to show off Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer later this week, but we now have some official details about what will be present in it. For starters, killstreaks are coming back into the fray and you’ll be able to summon a tank as one of them. Whether you pilot it or not is yet to be seen, but this could end up bringing back some of that attack helicopter nonsense from Modern Warfare 2.
After a few years of being absent, it seems Activision feels Call of Duty just isn’t the same without rewarding successive kills. I was actually pretty fond of how Black Ops 4 handled kill rewards, but I can’t deny the rush of adrenaline that racking up kills brings. I’m one of the few to have acquired the tactical nuke in MW2 multiple times, so I might just have to challenge myself to get this stupid tank a few times.
