Gee, thanks Nintendo: No Brawl in Europe until at least July

You know, it seems like only yesterday that I’d finally been given hope that Nintendo had decided not to keep screwing people over in the European territories. Well, looks like the Big N isn’t quite finished stomping on the Eurotrash and giving us a nice, hard kick in the teeth. If you were hoping for Super Smash Bros. Brawl before Christmas — or even slightly after Christmas … think again. Fancy waiting at least five months after the US release? Because that’s what you’re bloody getting.

All Nintendo had to say about it was that Brawl is “currently not planned for a release in Q1 or Q2 next year.” That means we in the Euro market won’t be able to get to grips with this thing until sometime around July 2008. Of course, by that time everyone else will have had plenty of time to become intimate with the gameplay and absolutely suck all the fun out of it for Europeans going online against people who have had five ****ing months of practice ahead of them.

Nintendo … this is a douchebag move of the highest order and you have absolutely no clue how to release an online game. Bloody sort it out, because this isn’t just a slap in the face anymore, this is a trainwreck of laziness and disrespect. Oh, and you can shove Mario Kart up your arse.
