What a great game
I’ve sung the praises of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for a long while now but it just dawned on me that I’ve been doing it for a year. Damn! The JRPG that could was great at launch but was made even greater through a series of free and paid DLC updates, on top of many quality of life changes and an entire (good) expansion.
While the aforementioned Torna expansion did close out development on Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as a whole, it seems like Monolith Soft aren’t completely done yet. As part of the one-year festivities both editions just got a patch that adds in Mythra’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate look, which was changed to warrant an “E for everyone” rating compared to the “T” of Chronicles. If you want the outfit just head to the Salvage Deck and look for Brobro.
I can’t wait to see what the team cooks up next. Unlike a few other JRPG developers that have either played it too safe or have fallen victim to corporate disasters or buyouts, Monolith Soft seems to have it going on since Nintendo took ownership.
