Lando and Dengar are heading to Star Wars Battlefront

But before the next expansion, there will be more free content

Much to my surprise, the recent Outer Rim expansion for Star Wars Battlefront was enough to pull me back into the game. But the feeling won’t last long without a #content drip-feed. I’m restless! Looking ahead, EA has an overview of what’s coming in “the next few months” for all players.

• New In-Game Events – More double score weekends, community missions, and Special Login Events are coming for players to earn more experience, credits, and items.
• New Hutt Contracts – Unlock powerful Star Cards like the Berserker Trait, Bacta Bomb, and Ion Neutralizer.
• More New Content – We also have a couple of surprises in store that we know our fans have been looking for, especially those who have been clamoring for ways to have more options to enjoy Star Wars Battlefront offline. More to come soon.
• Specific for May the 4th – In celebration of Star Wars Day we have cool activities planned that we’ll announce soon.

The most interesting tidbit, though, is a confirmation of the next two Hero/Villain characters: fan-favorite Lando Calrissian and Dengar. Uh, Dengar? Dengar! They’re arriving in June’s expansion, Bespin, along with four more maps and new weapons, Star Cards, and another mode.

If you felt that Outer Rim leaned too heavily on the smaller-scale skirmishes, Battlefront producer Craig McLeod specifically says the maps in Bespin are going to be “for all of our most popular modes.”
