Sure, Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty 4 is turning heads with its stunning visuals and unprescendented levels of gameplay polish. But what about the music, man?
Today, the developer has announced that the title will feature an original score by Stephen Barton, with the main theme and music production provided by Harry Gregson-Williams. Gregson-Williams is well-known and respected for his work on films like Enemy of the State and Spy Game, but you might know him best as the guy who scored Team America: World Police. No, Gregson-Williams didn’t write “America, F**k Yeah,” but he knows those guys, and that’s pretty sweet right there.
Cementing the soundtracks forthcoming legendary status, the score was peformed and recorded by a full ochestra, at none other than the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, England. The fruits of all of this labor will become apparent when Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is deployed on the Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3 on November 5.
Get it … “deployed”?
