South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been one of my more anticipated games this year. Stick of Truth was a fantastic surprise, so the fact we’ll have to wait a little longer on its hilarious looking sequel really stings. Once slotted for a Dec 2016 release before getting shuffled to Q1 2017, the sequel is now primed for a release in Ubisoft’s next fiscal year ranging from April 2017 to March 2018, according to Polygon.

The South Park series is no stranger to delays as Stick of Truth was bumped from 2012 to 2014, so I’m sure the delays are more to deliver a fully fleshed out product than something to worry about. Considering how much writing and effort went into the first game, is it wrong to hope for more? Since there won’t be the same level of fun exploring the town as there was in the first game (celebrating almost every season of the series), I’m hoping the sequel still has tricks up its sleeve.

I do hope it isn’t a long delay, however.
