Impressive for a cheap little FMV game

Her Story released last month, and proceeded to intrigue the shit out of people who played it with its non-linear storytelling and strange 1990s VHS aesthetic. Despite that it did well, with Laura giving it a whopping 10/10.

Via Twitter, developer Sam Barlow announced the game has managed to sell over 100,000 copies in the month since it released.

It’s nice to see more experimental games like this do well. It’s just another sign that 2015 will be the year of FMV, along with Need for Speed and Guitar Hero Live.

I have to admit I still have no idea what happened in Her Story. I thought I had a grasp of it, and then people started talking to me about it. Now I don’t know what I know, and I lie awake at night trying to piece together a murder that never fucking happened. Oh well, that is life.
