I got a sneak preview press demo of D-Pad Studio’s Owlboy, a retro-inspired action adventure game that has been in development for eight years having started in 2008 (to put that in perspective No Man’s Sky began development in 2012). The wait is going to be absolutely worth it, if the first hour of the game is anything to go by.
Owlboy is easy on the eyes, has lovable characters, beautifully animated pixel art, and a soundtrack that I’m already humming. Check out my hands-on preview above to get a taste of the magic.
