The multi-part, Chuck E. Cheese’s-inspired horror game Five Nights at Freddy’s has been a wildly popular hit and now Warner Bros. wants in on the action.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has acquired the rights to Scott Cawthon’s horror game for the purpose of turning it into a movie produced by Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee and KatzSmith Productions’ David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith.

The latter noted he’s, “looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie.”

I am looking forward to the It adaptation True Detective director Cary Fukunaga is working on, as noted in the end of the article. So it’s a win-win.
