Give The Crew a chance
While I wasn’t all that thrilled with this month’s Games with Gold lineup (Defense Grid 2, Costume Quest 2, GRID 2, and Peggle), the next batch of free-with-Xbox-Live-Gold titles speaks to me.
Gold members will be able to download Goat Simulator on Xbox One throughout June and The Crew from June 16 to July 15. The former is a silly thing I’d say is worth trying, for free, and the latter is an open-world racing game I didn’t care at all about for the longest time but ended up eventually digging. Its condensed, bizarro United States map is worth driving across at least once.
On Xbox 360, it’s Super Meat Boy from June 1 to June 15, and then XCOM: Enemy Unknown from June 16 to June 30. Two great games that are still worth seeking out if you somehow missed them. They’ll also be playable on Xbox One via backward compatibility, if you want to go that route.
