Divinity: Original Sin 2 is in its final days on Kickstarter

When we last talked about Divinity: Original Sin 2, it had only just cleared its base goal of $500,000 on Kickstarter. That was last month. Now, with less than two days left in the crowdfunding campaign, Larian Studios is sitting at $1.79 million in pledges. Only a couple of stretch goals left.

If the Kickstarter reaches $2 million, Original Sin 2 will add a Game Master mode, which is also getting some love in Sword Coast Legends. But even if that extra push doesn’t come through, there are plenty of other things too look forward to, including writing contributions from Chris Avellone (Planescape: Torment, Knights of the Old Republic II). Yup, they got him!

Larian did a good job with Original Sin and I envision similarly good things for the sequel.

The tidbit that caught my eye? “During competitive questing, you’ll pursue different plot-lines from other players, often because your personal motivations are in conflict with those of the party.”
