Oh happy day! I’m featuring a comic this week, something that is sadly far and few between. This week’s AAF spotlight lands on Katie Tiedrich and her comic, Awkward Zombie. The name of the comic is awesome, but sadly, has nothing to do with zombies in awkward situations.

Awkward Zombie is mostly a Nintendo themed comic series which started back in September of 2006. So far, the series has been pretty good. A lot of the jokes are what any Nintendo fan can get a good chuckle at. Such as the case when Link’s heavy boots shouldn’t be worn anywhere near a Goron. Katie also made me realize how Samus and Falcon Lombardi are basically related. Marth and Roy from the Fire Emblem series also get a lot of screen time (but usually in the Smash context).

Only 38 comics in the archive right now so you should be able to catch up with the series really fast. The series is updated once a week and it’s looking like Awkward Zombie will become a great comic to keep up to date with.

[Editor’s note: Did I say Awkward Zombie enough? Awkward Zombie, Awkward Zombie, Awkward Zombie, Awkward Zombie! I’m sorry, that’s one of the best name I’ve seen yet right next to Mecha Monkey and McDeath Steak.
