Too much network traffic right now

After hearing about Nintendo pulling the just-released Pokémon Bank app in Japan due to an overwhelming amount of traffic on the Nintendo Network, I was worried this would happen. Previously scheduled for a December 27 launch in North America and Europe, the Bank and Poké Transporter have been postponed indefinitely. Aww, shoot!

“Due to the high traffic, players are having trouble setting up Nintendo Network IDs and downloading content in the Nintendo eShop on both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS,” reads an announcement. “We truly regret the inconvenience, and wish to reassure everyone that providing a solution is our top priority. We apologize for the delay and thank you for your continued patience.”

Bummer, even if I did see it coming. I have my copy of Pokémon White nearly ready for the great transfer of 2013. Which might need to be renamed, at this rate.
