It might not be an Oculus Rift exclusive
Remember that Oculus Rift game that CCP put together called Valkyrie? Rock, Paper, Shotgun just spent some more time with the game, and while it still looks awesome, CCP made it clear that it hasn’t confirmed the game for PC.
“Well, I mean, PC is definitely in the cards,” said chief marketing officer David Reid. “Is it definitely something that’s there in 2014 on commercial launch day? I couldn’t answer that for you yet. We certainly could do it, but it’s still a question of whether we will.”
He went on to say that the game could be made to work on consoles and, for that matter, that Valkyrie doesn’t even need the Oculus Rift — it could be played on a normal TV. It seems to me like the best release for this would be on PC with support for the virtual-reality headset, but it is possible to see this coming out on next-gen consoles without the 3D headgear support.
